Anuradhapura ancient city

We had breakfast at the hotel and then our tuk tuk tour arrived. We headed to the ticket office and then around the sites of the ancient city.

It was hot and the guide was dull. The moonstone with the animal carving was good and the stupas were big but having to remove your shoes when the floor was burning hot limited how much walking could be done. Get up and go early!

Before our tour finished we got the driver to take us to the supermarket and we bought lunch. Back at the hotel we spent the afternoon relaxing. In the evening we had dinner at the hotel.Read more
