  • Uluṟu

    April 13 in Australia ⋅ 🌙 11 °C

I got up at 4.30am and got ready for a day out. I picked up my packed breakfast from reception, weetabix and a fruit cup it turned out, and then drove into the park. I arrived at the sunrise spot around 6am and watched the sunrise on Uluṟu.

I then drove to the Mala walk and ate my breakfast before going on the free ranger talk.

After the talk I set out on the Uluṟu base walk which took a couple of hours.

I then headed back to the hotel and after a coffee I walked to the shops and had lunch.

In the afternoon I hung out on my balcony and shortly after 5pm I went to join my tour.

I went on the sounds of silence dinner. We drove a little way into the desert and started with canopies and sparkling wine while watching the sun set over Uluṟu.

Once the sun had set we were shown to our table and had dinner under the stars. At one point they turned all the lights off and we had a full explanation of the night sky.
