    LETS GOOOO!!

    The adventure begins!

    Flight 1: cancelled
    Flight 2: boarded then plane broke!

    (2 hours later)

    Flight 3: ADL-SYD
    made it to the gate as it was boarding! Precision stuff!

    Flight 4: SYD-LAX
    The Flight was less than a third booked. so much room for activities!

    We arrived in LAX our bags have not yet made the journey. Fingers crossed!

    We went straight to Hollywood to have a look around. Saw the Hollywood sign and the stars. Hot tip: don't go to Hollywood on a Monday morning. Everything is shut till lunch or all day.    Læs mere

    to LA - Day 2 🇺🇸

    Our luggage arrived, and we checked out.

    Spent the day exploring this side of the city.

    Runyon Canyon Hike which gives you nearly 360 views of LA and all the mansions in the Hollywood Hills. There's also a much better view of the Hollywood sign from here.

    West Hollywood gay district. Self explanatory and fabulous. I've never seen so many gay bars in one spot! Very aesthetically pleasing area in general with a design centre nearby.

    Beverley Hills. This is how the other half live. Where the most exclusive and expensive brands in the world are all in one spot. While it's not generally my thing, it was interesting to see! The streets are cleaner and the fire hydrants are painted silver our built into the walls because "ew, fire hydrants" apparently.

    Now headed to airport for another overnight flight to MEXICO!!    Læs mere

    CDMX- Mexico City

    Mexico city is the biggest city in North America with around 25 million people. This fact explained the chaos on the roads!

    The Wanderlust hotel was our home for the week. A unique spot with a rooftop terrace overlooking a busy road.

    Some highlights of the 5 days.
    -exploring Roma North and La Romita and eating from all the street taco stands.
    -a walking tour of downtown CDMX and all the historic buildings
    -practising my minimal amount of spanish to order food and buy tickets.
    - Xochimilco canals on crazy bright boats and Mariachi bands playing for us
    -fell in love
    - Luche Libre!!! Insane mexican wrestling similar to WWE but even better
    -nearly getting crowd crushed in a gaybar with wayyyy too many people in it.

    I loved Mexico City and I didn't expect to! Could easily spend a month or more there.    Læs mere

    Playa Del Carmen

    Got to CDMX airport 3 hours got distracted and had to sprint to our gate. We were the last ones on the plane and nearly missed it.

    I lost my first bank card. Think i left it inside the atm in Mexico City. 1 down. 2 to go.

    Arrived in Cancun and got the bus down to Playa Del Carmen. The beach at playa is nice, the expensive hotels and bars line the beach and there are seats etc. The water is a nice clear carribean blue.

    Mutley met me here so he could pick up his sim card. We wandered around after a chill day on the beach and through the town. At night we sat on a lounge on the beach, tried a mezcal and watched a fire twirler on the beach. It was amazing.

    The street food was great in the backstreets of Playa.

    It's a very touristy town where Americans come for their week long party and beach holidays but in the backstreets there is still a local vibe. Where you can get your laundry done for $4, tacos for 80c and dance salsa in a Park.    Læs mere
