    This post is late coming (a throwback to France) but I wanted to recognize the absolute magic of open access instruments in community spaces (as a good Canadian Heritage girl). In the Central train station in Montpellier stands a piano, free for anyone to use. I walked by it almost everyday - from early morning to very late at night, it was almost never unoccupied. The train station is open 24/7. I saw all ages, genders, colours, and genres represented over my 2 months there... it was very inspiring!
