    Hoi An, Vietnam

    January 26, 2019 in Vietnam ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

Hoi An is a Vietnamese version of Niagara on the Lake. It is a designated UNESCO site because of the buildings and structures that represent several centuries of cultural heritage including French, Chinese and Japanese influences. We spent most of our time here exploring by bike or on foot which was a nice change from the long drives we took to get in and out of Hanoi. We started with a visit to the local museum which featured extensive coverage of the origins of Hoi An dynasties to the devastation of the “American War” and the subsequent recovery. In addition to the quaint village lifestyle, we also visited active fishing villages and farms. We finished our tours with a hands-on farming experience and a cooking class!Read more
