Gospel at Harlem

Ava and I travelled to Harlem on the subway and to be honest I felt like I was stepping onto a set of NYPD. We left the subway the wrong exit… mistake no.1…
As we walked up the stairs a few dodgy guys came down the stairs and as we stepped up to the top of the stairs someone had done a big 💩!
As we walked out and looked around police cars and ambulances around… lots of screaming and shouting… “Ava keep walking, head up shoulders back and no eye contact…”
Ava said “yeh mum it doesn’t feel like a good place…”
We finally made it to the church (thankfully)
And wow what a magnificent place and congregation.
The church was so beautiful, sandstone and beautiful stained glass windows…
But the reverend and singers… so talented, happy and loving towards all of us.
We left and took off to the subway and made our way back to our hotel… the subways are weird so many different exits I think by the time I leave on Sunday I’ll get it.Baca selengkapnya
