The Memorial Garden

Walking towards the memorial garden…lots of emotions as I know there are two more people laid to rest there since I visited in 2010.
Elvis twin brother Jesse Garon that was still born is still buried at Tupelo, however a plaque has been placed in his memory.
Elvis’s mother Gladys was originally buried at the memorial park in Memphis… as was Elvis, two months after his passing Vernon moved them to Graceland’s.
Vernon and his mother are both buried in the memorial Garden. Vernon passed in 1979 and Minnie Mae passed in 1980 aged 90.
Continuing around the path opposite Elvis you are faced with two massive mausoleums… there lay Lisa Marie and her son Benjamin. Sadly Benjamin committed suicide in 2020 ages 27.
And then of course Lisa Marie passed in 2023… so tragic yet so surreal.
I truely feel blessed to have had the opportunity to visit Graceland’s and pay my respect.
It reaffirmed my belief of live your life there are no second chances… don’t put off what you want to say, what you want to see, what you want to do! Czytaj więcej
