Got to the top. Great views. Also the large Niederwald Memorial. In memory of the unique victorious resurgence of the German people and of the re-creation of the German Empire 1870-1871. Interesting history. After revolutions the Prussian king Friedrich Wilhelm was declared German Kaiser in the Hall of Mirrors in the Palace of Versailles. Also had their special coffee Rudesheim Kaffee.....yummy...for a person who is not a coffee drinker. Made with ^Asbach^ brandy, 3 cubes sugar set on fire then add hot coffee and cream.
