Stockholm by foot (2)

We arrived in Stockholm around midday and checked in to our hotel perfectly positioned opposite Central station. We were upgraded which gave us access to the sun deck giving us fantastic views across the city.
We took in the action & explored the large cental park - Kungsträdgjärden which called for a fika stop on the pretty cafe lined walk .
We enjoyed the sculpture courtyard in the national museum and took the moment to cool down. A walk around Skeppsholmen ( the island of ships) and the old boats and naval yard before taking the ferry over to Gamla Stan - with its beautiful 16th &1 7th century architecture, the quaint cobbled streets and alleyways. A drink stop for some people watching with the clever little tables attached so they don't topple on the cobbles and provide outside seats in the narrow streets.
Despite the heat today (28°C) we managed to stay cool - the breeze off the water and shade in the trees made our city explore really pleasant, and it was a great day - our last one in Sweden.Читать далее
