Sugarloaf Rock and Cape Naturaliste

After a nice breakfast I went to Sugarloaf Rock. Really cool rock that is actually a breeding habitat for some sea birds.

From here I drove to Cape Naturaliste and decided to do the lighthouse tour here. Unfortunately no one was on the tour at 10 am so the guy said, go to the museum now, I don't charge you and come back 5 minutes before 10 am to see if there are more people that want to do the tour. They are not allowed to run a tour with only one guest..
But I was lucky. The 10 am tour is going because a man and his daughter wanted to go up in the lighthouse as well! Awesome. Nice tour. Got done information about the live here in the early 1900s. There were always three lighthouse keepers here. And they were working for 4 hours and then were free for 8 hours before the next 4 hour shift started. And that's how they worked, day after day, no sick days, no vacation.. Crazy.En savoir plus
