House arrest - day 28

Nice sunny day again and quite a bit warmer. Did some work at home, mainly in the morning, to leave the afternoon free for some jobs and a bike ride. Decided to buy some wine mail order and had ordered some a few days ago from "Naked Wines" which was delivered today. Key afternoon job was giving the mountain bike a spring clean – it was very muddy so cleaned it with degreaser, re-lubed the chain and finally popped on a new rear tyre as the previous one was pretty much worn flat in the middle section. Afternoon ride was then done on the clean bike – went out via Row Town to the McLaren roundabout and returned via Martyr’s Lane. Evening meal was a fabulous tartiflette cooked by Lynette.

Evening was a TV binge – we watched the extra episode of “Tiger King” then episode 1 of “Quiz” the dramatization of “Who Want’s to be a Millionaire”. Finally watched the Channel 4 news special into Coronavirus – very good – in my opinion Channel 4 does better news and documentaries than BBC, probably on a tiny fraction of the BBC budget.Read more
