• Evora Day 1

    June 30 in Portugal ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

We're taking a 2 night getaway to Evora, a 90 minute train ride from Lisbon. Evora is a charming medieval walled town in the Alentejo country, famous for its wines, cork oaks and black Iberian pigs (who dine on acorns from the cork oaks). Despite the heat here this week, we greatly enjoyed wandering cobbled streets and, of course, a visit to the famous chapel of bones. Evora was recently chosen as the European Cultural capital for 2027, a prestigious honor and well deserved: (https://traveldreamsmagazine.com/evora-2027-why…).
A great hotel in the old town with an inviting pool, incredible views of the Alentejo area, and great dining options...what's not to love?
