• Marina del Este

    November 14, 2017 in Spain ⋅ 🌙 14 °C

We are nearly at our over wintering spot, we spent last night at Caleta de Velez an active Mediterranean fishing port with a marina, yes apparently there are still fish in the Med. The town by the port was sandwiched between 2 big tourist towns but had still managed to retain its Spanish feel. We are now in Marina del Este, its very pretty and is only a marina no fishing, we are out of season so some places are closed but still pretty we have walked over the hill to 'town' views are lovely as you will see tomorrow when we go back with camera. After Caleta the shoreline became more rugged with the hills being on the coast so not as many towns or houses. This area is the garden of Europe and on the flatish bits of land there were poly tunnels for growing, here are some photos of the coastline.
