    We left Bucholz before lunch time and 740 Kilometers and 10 hours later we arrived in Deggendorf where we camped next to the Donau. We are sharing the wild campsite with an Austrian couple and lots of Moskitos. Now a few sausages some yellow water and off to bed. first night camp spot rated with 3*.     From Deggendorf to Croatia

    We camped right on the river Donau - quiet and nice and……
    Guess what Olli snores and I did not 😎 (at least not yet)
    Now off to LIDL and then Slovenia here we come.

    Driving through 4 countries in one day. Germany, Austria, Slovenia and now. Croatia.

    A "fine" morning and then off to Bosnia

    2nd night we had this fantastic spot through Park4Night. It gave us the warning that Police might come and YES they did. Thankfully only in the morning. Olli negotiated well, and paid our contribution. We enjoyed the rest of the morning, took a bath in the river, swapped the underwear and hit the road.

    We made it safely over the border and are now camping close to the Una National park at a campground. It is raining 🌧️ heavily, but we set camp before it started. However the worst is yet to come.

    Rainy days

    Another morning 😎 since yesterday afternoon we are having quite a bit of rain but we managed to eat dry during the showers. Also picked the right time of packing up in the morning. Let’s see what the day brings for us.

    Made Friends in Bosnia

    After a long and beautiful offroad drive we arrived at the lake xxx, which was named as a beautiful spot and turned out to be kind of rubbish dumb. So we left again and continued our way. Camped wild at a nice spot in the middle of nowhere. After setting up we were visited by 2 Serbians. They got the schnaps out and we the google translator. We learned „ Fuck the Cameras“ for hunting and were asked to take Haselnuts to his friend the gynecologist in Braunschweig. But as we are going the other way we skipped that project.

    We had a bit of rain last night but far less then before. Today we went over the mountains of xxx and had a fantastic 3 hour off road trip which we finished off with a lunch at a nice restaurant

    Another day in Paradise

    Olli the nice spot finder did it again. We are parked on a plateau surrounded by mountains. Simply amazing , super quiet and clean.
    The night ended with yet another backgammon win by me, so its 3:1 now.

    My lucky day we saw 11 Landrovers today, so now the total stands at 20.

    Drive wise we had a great trip through the canyon of xxx. Basically all day through mountains and canyons. The nature is overwhelming here.

    Lunch was a picknick then shopping at 18:00 and now another marvelous camp site. More tomorrow    Read more

    Start making kilometers

    Another unbelievable nice evening not only that Inwon again in backgammon also the park4night location was fantastic.
    We are now some 1850 kilometers away from Tasucu and we need to cover a bit of distance. Toay‘s aim is 500. ler‘snsee where we end up this evening.

    Not much to tell we drove and drove through Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia and finally arrived in Thessaloniki.

    So basically we reached our 500 KM goal. Now we are sitting on the beach next to Thessaloniki.    Read more

    Turkish coast

    We made it well into Turkey yesterday thanks to modern highways and a dedicated driver. As a reward I let Olli have a 5-0 win in backgammon, so overall it is now 4-2 for me. On the negative side the LIDL wine caused a bit of a headache on my driver, so we needed to cure it with some Panadol - thanks to Oxana for packing my pull box.
    Today‘s aim is to cut the remaining 1200 km in half. Slowly but surely this great roadtrip is nearing it’s end.

    Back on the coast

    Another win in backgammon last night. We are sleeping better and better. Maybe stay in the car forever?
    This camping ground is beautiful for one night if you catch the spot right at the beach, but horrible to be longer. Anyway we look at the bright side of life, have a coffee a swim and off to Turkey.Read more

    Came 2nd again last night in backgammon. We are standing at a beautiful spot but unfortunately a dirty spot. Turks and caring for nature requires improvement. We are now 820 km away from Tasucu. One more night and then comes the ferry.

    So…. I just had a dip into the sea and now I have to upgrade this location to 4*, despite the dirt. The sea has 25 degrees, the bay is flat and sandy. A refreshing dream to start the day.    Read more

    Tasucu here we come

    The last night in Turkey has passed. We are standing on the beach. Life is good and I am nit sure if I should continue traveling and not return to the office (joking).

    The barber shops were closed so I took matters into my own hands.

    We arrived Tasucu at 16:00 and had a 3 hour sleep on the beach. Thereafter a nice dinner. After making our way into the port we met 2 Germans, talked a bit too long and are now waiting to have our turn with immigration.    Read more

    Kyrenia / Girne

    We were supposed to leave at 01:20 am from Tasucu, left after 05:00 am and arrived in Kyrenia around 11:00. Then it took us about 1 hour to get of the vessel and another 2 hours to go through the different administration offices. Now finally we are on the way back home.
