Amazon travel day

After not much sleep we say goodbye to Matt and Meg's and head to the airport. The line for checked baggage was interesting with lots of unorganised people and one person manning the desk. Then we flew to puerto maldonado. We arrive at Wasai lodge and it is very very hot. Some of us were a bit hungover and not coping in the heat. We waited for ages then met our guide to take us into the amazon. We took a bumpy bus and boat to the lodge, then had some time to relax and cool down in the pool. Before dinner we had a night botanical walk where we learnt about bugs and frogs.Read more
