Regu and Pinhao Douro Valley wine tour

Wine tour of the Douro Valley.
Tripping with Tiago!!
Toured the Douro valley , tasting great food and wine. Got a tour of the olive oil press from the D’Origem wines. Went on a boat ride up the valley and drank our free bottle of red, toured and had lunch at an old port winery established in 1735.
After carefully negotiating stairs after a lot of wine, Sharon with reckless abandonment failed to negotiate the small box hedge corner and high tailed it head first into bush covered wall!!!😂😂😂😂😂Okumaya devam et

Porto hop on hop off

Did a tour of the city on the bus, both sides of the river.
Visited the famous Lello bookstore, and Sao Bento train station , walked around a bit and then back on the bus to catch the sun setting over the west coast.
According to our schedule, we could watch the sunset and then get the bus back in time for the Christmas lights tour. But alas ! Our schedule was wrong, we tried to grab a taxi - took forever, so missed our bus.
Ate some dinner and then the night went downhill ( literally ) from there. Walking home I managed to get diarrhoea and made a deposit in the cafe. Then 10 mins later projectile vomitted into a pole in front of the homeless. Needless to say I had a bad night !!! Food poisoning????Okumaya devam et

A stop over on our way to Madrid. Sharon got sick in the night too and we could not get going as well as possible. Obviously food poisoning ! So we have driven 3 hours to our hotel and now collapsing on the bed. Praying that we feel better tomorrow?!??🙏🏻Okumaya devam et

The jewel in the crown they say. Beautiful city on the hill. Walls, streets and people on Constitution Day!!! Found a dirt patch to park in and explored the town on foot. Another amaaaaazing town.
The morning started with us feeling much better and we thought we had it all sorted on how to get the train to Segovia. So we headed off to nearby train station and bought a return ticket into Charmartin to catch a connecting speed train to Segovia. We decided to do this instead of drive, because our homework told us to NOT drive. Our homework also told us that trains go every hour and take 30mins.
Well that didn’t happen - long weekend in Spain and you needed to book the train in advance!!
So we turned around , returned on train, jumped in car and drove!!! Best decision ever!! Found a dirt patch to park ( free) and spent 6 hours exploring this city. Castles, churches, winding streets and all things Christmas.Okumaya devam et

Decided to make a be line for the Reina Sofia art museum to see major works from artists such as Picasso and Salvador Dali and in particular the Guernica. We walked straight in, I had a personal 40min art lesson from Miss Sopher and then we came out to a massive line of 100s of people!!!! Winners again!!!
Continued our tour on the Hop on hop off bus and saw beautiful city streets from the bus and in amongst it. Got to plaza Mayor and had Paella and did some people watching.
Made our way to our Christmas light bus tour !! What a good way to see the lightsOkumaya devam et

Zaragoza, lunch with a view

Started with eating our orange we carried all over.
Drove out of Madrid across the mountains and saw some great scenery and animal life. Even crossed the meridian line.

Pulled into airport hotel and were pleasantly surprised by the facilities. We have returned. Had a little red wine toast in our room and went down to bar for a snack. Sat and chatted about our fantastic 3 weeks!!!Okumaya devam et

Park Guell - amaaaaazing place. Love the tiles, colours and crazy architecture!
Pushed past the PTSD from travelling on the metro and nailed it this time. Lunch at the Arch of Triumph and then funicular and cable car 🚠 ride to get one last final view of this great city. What a way to finish up 3 fantastic weeks of Sportugal with Shaz and Sal.Okumaya devam et
