Peace in Cowra

So our "Back of Bourke" tour is finally under way. First stop was at the Cowra Japanese Gardens for lunch. We have been here before when both we and the Gardens were much younger! The Gardens are now quite mature and are very peaceful. A fitting memorial to the 231 Japanese soldiers who died in the Cowra Breakout in 1944. We had lunch in the Cafe and then meandered around the well laid out paths and watercourses. Well worth a visit if you're ever in the vicinity.Leggi altro
