Daytrip to Ocracoke Island

This morning, we took the speed ferry to Ocracoke Island for the first time. It's a 60 min ride, but right to the city center. With our electric scooters, we're able to go back and forth in no time. First we got to a nice beach for a short swim, had lunch at a local buffet place. Lovley spot, by the way. Afterward, a short visit at the local island brewery. After we passed by the lighthouse, we attended a very enlightening and interesting Ranger talk by the National Park site to learn about live savings stations in the early 1900.Read more
