Les Plus Beaux Villages

We visited Collanges la Rouge, a delightful if rather tourist flooded village built from (unusually for the area) a sandstone very rich in iron giving the buildings a distinctive red colour.

Then we briefly stopped off at Turenne, a village set at the top of a steep hill, complete with castellated top. It was far too hot to walk around the castle, but the views from around it were spectacular.Read more
