Art, Beach and Calves

Valparaíso is a unique, beautiful and colorful harbour city 120km west from Santiago.
I had such a great time here, from the first evening with live music on the rooftop terrace of the Planeta Lindo Hostel to the last one, ending up playing Scrabble and Uno in the best and cheapest Mexican restaurant next to the brewery we originally wanted to go to.
Spent hours by walking up and down the hills (hi calves, long time no see 👋🏻) and getting lost in the small streets while enjoying the footprints of so many streetartists on the walls of nearly every single house. The area around Cerro Alegre was definitely my favorite. Inside all these sprayed/painted houses you can find lots of little ateliers and you might end up filling the (not existing) left space in your backpack with pieces of art.
Within 30 minutes by bus you can escape the city to enjoy the sun at Playa Reñaca, take a dive into the surprisingly not so cold Pacific Ocean and go out to have fresh seafood for dinner.Weiterlesen
