    This is the place, where the first trans-atlantic wireless service was established in 1907 and went on on a regular basis until 1917. It was destroyed during the Irish Civil War in 1922. On the same spot, Captain John Alkock and Leutenant Arthur Brown made an unplanned landing during the first non-stop trans-atlantic flight from Newfoundland.Read more
