Coober Pedy SA

Big 4. Caravan will take a couple of days to repair as they need to get parts from Adelaide. Coober Pedy housing is something to behold. Due to the extreme temperatures, the majority of homes are built into the side of a hill or underground. We visited the Old Timers Mine which has a $2000 Opal which was discovered there and a current working mine and as I do for some weird reason we took in the sights as the Boot Hill cemetery. Hence the saying, 'It's no good being the richest person in Boot Hill.' At sunset we went to the Breakaways NP, approx. 20 kms north of town, along a dirt track and across the Dog Fence.
