    Because we had not driven nearly enough, we headed north of SLC to the Great Salt Lake. Why not? Antelope Island State Park is worth the visit - we made it past the brine flies (eww) and I floated. Clara protested and claimed she didn’t float. Even though we rinsed off, the salt layer was still there. Floating or swimming here is Not a popular activity with the locals apparently and the lake has dried up a lot. Driving around this mock island (it totally connects to the mainland) was neat because it’s very yellow, and there are wild buffalo that are rounded up once a year.
