A visit from Lori, beach combing & jam

Yesterday I caught sunrise on the beach and then Lori from Chemainus drove over the island to visit and brought boxes of preserves, as well as more tomatoes (yum) and frozen prawns. Her lifestyle is fascinating as she works as a stevedore/longshoreman - I had so so many questions!!
We wandered Chesterman over to South Chesterman then back to hang out before a dark walk to Roar at Hotel Zed for dinner - such a fun hotel! Today we went into town and poked around the shops, had a cold drink at Rhino (and I did buy a donut and carrot cake muffin, Chanelle!), then off to The Surf Shack for burgers, tacos and greasy fries.
