Small town challenges

With 24 hours left in this getaway town, I lucked out and was able to join the locals playing Pickleball indoors at the Tofino Community Hall. Some of these ladies have lived here for 40+ years which I find fascinating and wish I had more time to hear their stories! However, when I stepped out to take a work call, I noticed that the cAr had a flat 🫤. Small town = very very limited car services. Incredibly, the owner of our vacation rental is Mr. Tofino and he ‘made a few calls’ and the car was towed to the garage and I got a drop off at home. They might get the tire repaired by end of day but maybe not 🤷‍♀️. Anyhoo, we took advantage and walked to beach again and then wandered to the Pointe at the Wick for a bar dinner. A first world problem of sitting at the bar is you end up trying too many cocktails 😬. The overwhelming winning course was the cheese plate. YUM.Read more
