Day 5 Podbrdo to Grahovo Ob Baci

21.2 km, 1009m ascent, 1207m descent, rating - Difficult
Our day started with a steep 500m climb to the top of the ridge with clear views through the valley. We had the option of shortening this stage but we decided to push on to the next village and catch the train back to our accommodation in Hudajuzna. This path was much longer and more challenging than expected and culminated in a frantic (and not very graceful) backpack sprint for the train. The host of the homestay apartment, Danica, gave us the most beautiful welcome and we enjoyed a memorable night (along with our fellow hikers Anita and Dietmar) around the table with a delicious homecooked meal + beers + local wine + liquor + slivovitz.
