We decided to load up the packs and hit the trail again for overnight hiking (the last time we hiked with all our camping gear was quite a few years ago).

Rocky Creek Camp

We arrived at Rocky Creek and found a peaceful spot in the forest to set up camp.
We were unable to have a camp fire (we are still in fire ban season) but we fired up the Trangia for a 3 course feast Czytaj więcej
PodróżnikHey-ho, nice to hear from you again and find you in good shape. You may remember me and Marion, as we met on the AAT in Taly/Slowenia. I admit, I had to read up what the Heysen Trail is. I am sure you are enjoying it, as we plan for a shorter 1 week's trip in the italian Dolomites for June.

Our overseas travel has been curtailed due to this bloody Covid pandemic. We have been doing all our holidaying in Australia which is great. We packed up our gear and continued along the Heysen Trail. Today's walking involved a few more hills, some lovely walking through Australian bushland and across the old Jupiter Creek gold mines.

Mt Crawford Forest

Lovely little campsite but unfortunately we could not light the fire until the morning because fire ban season did not finish until May 1st. I wish I had a photo of Mia's face when Rudi carried her up Czytaj więcej
