Goodbye Birmingham, Hello Atlanta

After three speedy days on the track, we packed up to leave back to Atlanta. Not an overly adventurous travel day, but we did stop at the Sweetwater State Park to stretch our legs. We hiked along the creek to the Manchester Mill Ruins that the Union forces burnt during the civil war.

After the hike we enjoyed a picnic under the forest canopy. The shade was a nice reprieve from the intense sun rays.

Once back in Atlanta, and checked into our hotel room in Midtown, we went for dinner at a Greek restaurant. Food was fine, but definitely not what I'd say was authentic Greek; not enough Lamb on the menu.

After dinner we had a short walk to the Fox Theatre to watch the musical Hairspray!

While waiting to take our seats we explored the amazingly guilded interior of the theatre with a glass of prosecco in hand; felt like we we in a dessert palace. Czytaj więcej
