    First night- Banks Peninsula

    January 17 in New Zealand ⋅ 🌙 14 °C

    We picked up our home for the next 40 days and travelled for 2 hours to stay on a beach campsite. Very family friendly and good atmosphere. I had underestimated the scale of our first drive, but Rob did a grand job of driving the steep hills and hairpin bends. Banks Peninsula is an extinct volcano. The scenery was a great introduction to NZ. Very peaceful.Read more

    TravelerGreat scenery ! Looks very peaceful . The idea of a beach campsite sounds lovely but I’m not so sure about steep hills and hairpin bends 🤔
