I understand that there are conflicting interpretations of some of the wording of the treaty. The settlers maintain that the treaty ‘cedes’ Māori land the Māoris understanding of the wording is that the land is to be ‘shared’. Make of that what you will!
PodróżnikThey seem to have their own Nigel Farage who is moving to make changes to the treaty. All causing lots of acrimony.
