Beach picnic and Jazz night

You just can't do justice to the landscape here. The scenery is vast. Rabbit Island is a wide beach and sand dune fringed but not enclosed by two mountain ranges. All we have managed here is holiday snaps. We enjoyed walking the beach. Rob swam - that's him disappearing into the distance. We had a light lunch before the increasing wind made a return to the house more attractive. We read and rested before an evening of Jazz on the wharf at Mapua. A good dark ale and fish and chips were very welcome. It was a beautifully warm evening surrounded by happy, active families. This is a wonderful lifestyle.Read more
