Rice Fields and Tea Experience

A day of many experiences. New landscapes, much laughter, learning and relaxation. After a cup of coffee among the "straw" animals ( amonsgst which I found my Penguin!), we moved on and picked up our new means of transport among the rice fields. The 4 persons Minion buggy was expertly driven by David and Rob. David's normal rule abiding driving was occasionally abandoned to nearly throw us into a paddy field with much squealing from the back. We moved on to a tea farm and factory. The farm was in its third generation of family ownership. The current farmer had re-engineered production to exert more control over high quality, market led products. The farming community, in the village and surrounding area, was trying to encourage more young people back to the area and develop tourism. We then headed up into the mountains to stay in a luxurious natural hot water spa hotel. We enjoyed the spa facilities which had a strict dress code - birthday suits only.
