Arrived last night after a stressful day picking up car and getting navigation sorted. Didn't help falling into a ditch with stinging nettles when lunch came through and had to stop in the middle of nowhere.

TravelerRecovered now, just no energy at all the following day after I had completely emptied my system. Never heard of the charcoal remedy

Another Medieval town, Guerande

Took the ferry (free) outside our accommodation across the Loire and drove to Guerande. Weather not great but interesting medieval town to wander. Came back via the coast around La Baule-Escoublac and was amazed at the highrise apartments stretching for kilometre after kilometre (one street back still have some lovely old houses). The beach must be packed in summer. Drove over an enormous bridge at the mouth of the Loire.Read more

Dropped the car back and walked to see the castle. Sheltered from thunderstorms in Sainte Pierre Eglise

TravelerDave stressed again as Peugeot manual. Foot rest too close to his left foot for the clutch. Heater came on and couldn't get it off while trying to find our accommodation. At the moment this might be our last overseas trip 🫣😢

Drove to see old Sarum it is just a hill with very little left of original castle so decided not worth entry cost went back and had another walk around Winchester
