Travelling up North to 'Bear Country'

Leaving Salt Lake City behind driving up Interstate 15 to Idaho Falls and then across to Jackson (in Wyoming), as our entry point to Yellowstone.

A few little titbits along the way ...
👆Idaho is nicknamed “The Gem State” for the abundance of rare minerals that have been found in all corners of the state. The state gem is the Star Garnet.
👆Wyoming got its nickname “The Equality State” when it granted women the right to vote in 1869, the first state to do so
👆Salt Lake City is at an elevation of 1300m, roughly half the elevation we will encounter in Yellowstone. Hope the two nights there will help with acclimatisation.もっと詳しく
