    Yellowstone - Yellowstone Grand Canyon

    We managed to view the Lower Falls and the Canyon from two different viewpoints.

    First we saw the falls from the North Rim after a little afternoon stroll from our lodging at Canyon Village.

    Later after dinner in the posh Lake Hotel, we stopped off at Artists Point on the South Rim to enjoy the sunset overlooking the Falls.

    The Yellowstone Grand Canyon has been formed as a result of erosion by the Yellowstone river and is roughly 32 km long. Parts of the canyon are 366 m deep. And the canyon is still getting deeper, longer and wider by continuing erosion.
