Stopover to visit Mysuru Palace

Visited Mysore palace- a must see if you visit Mysuru. We took a guided tour and learned all about Mysuru Dashera Tradition (10 day festival marking navaratri or 9 nights where a procession is conducted in the palace even today). The palace was built in 1912 (15 years to construct) after the earlier palace was destroyed due to the fire. Till date the Wadiyar dynasty from Yadav clan live here( 60% of palace is open for visitors ). The current king married Rajasthan Dunganpur princess and has a two year old son.Read more
