This Abbey was spectacular. The archways, flooring, stain glass was reverent. I was able to see Robert the Bruces burial spot.
Also called "the unsailed ship". This castle sits on the Firth of Fourth. Scottish royalty James IV visited the castle. WARNING: Outlander also filmed here.
WARNING: This was all an Outlander filming site. The location had a made showing the different locations on premise that they filmed. The actual house is still a generation home.

Dovecot just at the entry to Midhope Castle. In the show Outlander, the character Fergus hides a gun from the English. This was the actual location for that shot.
All kings of Scotland are crowned here on the throne which is sitting upon the stone of destiny. There was no pictures allowed inside the Castle but I purchased a souvenir book.
