TravelerThe Minpu Bridge is a double-deck cable-stayed bridge that spans the Huangpu River in Shanghai, China. It is an essential link in the local road system and serves as a critical part of the Pudong Airport Expressway. The bridge features two towers, double cable planes, and a composite truss stiffening girder. Its total length is 3,982 meters, with a main span of 708 meters, and the towers reach a height of 214 meters. The Minpu Bridge opened to traffic in 2010 and was, at the time of completion, the longest double-deck highway cable-stayed bridge in the world .
