Moose Pass has been home base for us for the last couple of days as we explore the Kenai Peninsula. Cooper Landing was a no go on the fishing as the guide let Eric know we were a little early in the Salmon game. So we pivoted and hiked 3 miles to the Russian River Water Falls to see the Salmon jump upstream. Then we hiked 1 mile to the river and saw the fishermen catch fish as well as the seagulls (scratching our heads as to why the guide wouldn’t take Eric and Silas out). So after finishing 7 miles we came back towards Seward and hiked an extra 2 miles to Exit Glacier where we saw a male moose and were advised to make lots of noise on the way up because a momma black bear and her two cubs had been hanging out around the trail. Well we sure made some fun noise and steered clear! Then we went down to the beach on Seward and played in the playground… baths for all and bedtime! Today we spent the day at the Moose Pass festival and made friends with fellow travelers from Florida! such a beautiful sunny day! Now we are headed out towards Denali!Leia mais
