Guatapé

Guatapé! Only 2h in the east of Medellin you can stroll around the beautiful town of Guatapé. Even though most people visit this colorful town only on a day trip I really wanted to enjoy it and therefore stayed one night in a very cute bed and breakfast right by the lake. Once you get to Guatapé you can definitely tell why it is so touristy. The houses are just amazing and art works themselves and it is just a cute little town with its main attraction „the Rock“ only a 20 minute tuktuk ride away. Apparently from „the Rock“ which contains more then 700 stairs you have „the best view in the world“. It is true? Well I think the view is amazing but this is mainly because of the nature surrounding „the Rock“. Once we made it to the top we ordered a michelada not knowing that the beer we would get would be a combination of beer and saltwater. Some people love it here but I would have not minded skipping this experience :DMeer informatie
