Secret Garden Cotopaxi*

We spent a couple of nights at Secret Garden Cotopaxi, near Cotopaxi National Park, where we fully unplugged (there is no wifi or signal out there). On our first day, we did a short waterfall hike which mainly involved walking through rivers.

Our second day was spent hiking to the summit of Pasochoa Volcano. We started at an elevation of 3600m and would increase to 4200m at the summit. I found breathing at the high altitude, the lack of breaks and pace of the hike really difficult and turned around early - this was the first hike ever that I haven't finished. Mike kept going and made it to the summit, but agreed that it was a challenging hike.En savoir plus
