Nizwa

Today was a day dedicated to exploring Nizwa, which was the former capital of Oman in the 6th and 7th centuries. We started with a traditional Omani breakfast on a rooftop, followed by a visit to Nizwa fort and souq. Nizwa Fort (built in the 17th century) is Oman's most popular tourist attraction, and even while we were there mid-morning, it felt like we were the only ones visiting.
