Back on the bus

After breakfast with a relaxing view of the deserted pool, we hopped back on the bus from Funchal to Camara de Lobos. Directly translated into English as Seal Sanctuary, although now all the monk seals have moved on to a small island called appropriately Desertas Islands. Camara de Lobos was founded in 1835 but only granted town status in 1996. One famous visitor here was Winston Churchill who sat in a whicker chair and painted 🎨 the view.
