    After breakfast this morning, I walked down the road and, after catching a tram, arrived at my destination, Melbourne Gaol. One of the more famous prisoners to stay there (and not leaving) was a certain Mr Edward Kelly or Ned as he was more commonly known. He was one of the last Australian bush rangers / outlaws in the 1800’s. Famous for wearing a suit of 6 millimetres, thick steel armour, he was finally captured after a shoot-out at Glenrowan and paid the price for his crimes; at the age of 25, in Melbourne Gaol in 1880.Read more
