    The drive on Wednesday started in dark and rain at 7:00am. It was on and off rain all the way to Reno. Never hard and traffic was light the whole trip. I arrived at the hotel at 2:00pm exactly 8 hours after my start. 2 gas stops along the way.
    I spent the afternoon exploring Reno. Visited my new remote mailbox and walked the downtown casino strip. The strip is effectively gone! Only 2 casino groups remain

    Thursday, the last of the storm was leaving the area. High winds and chain control for just a couple miles over Donner summit. I arrived in Walnut Creek with a couple extra hours that i spent at the pool.    Read more
