Girona an old city, not far from Barcelona that included a castle and a wall. Much of the wall still exist today, and the city has made it accessible with foot paths and bridges all along the wall. It was pretty warm but walking the wall was really cool.
The views from the castle were great, which isn’t surprising, considering that castles are strategically located on the top of the hill to watch out for bad guys. But in this case, there weren’t any bad guys in sight, but it was really fun to peek over the wall and see into the private lives of the locals.
Girona is frequently used as a set piece for movies. Several scenes in Game of Thrones were shot here and even today during our visit they were filming something or other. That was really a large crew trucks all over the place and lots and lots of extras. Of course it was all blocked off, and I didn’t see anybody famous.Baca lagi
