Sagrada Famila, a different Bacillica

I was not excited about going to another big church in another city. I've visited many huge, monumental churches, on 4 continents and they all start to blend together. Big stone walls high ceilings, towers that dominated the city sky. The artwork of stone statues, historicall painting, gilding make a feeling that I'm small in the universe.

Here, the inside is clean, almost no art and filled with light from the sun through the stained glass. The columns stretch up into this dapelled light like a forest tree canopy.

The outside is where the statuary and the biblical stories are told. 18 Huge towers (4 under construction) and 3 facades (1 under construction) tell the stories of the life and death of Jesus.

I found myself amazed by the architecture, engineering and construction technology used to build this church. Much more so than can be presented here.Baca lagi
