Welcome the the Maastunnel! This tunnel runs run the river, with escalators running down into it. The tunnel is designed so that bikers have a way to cross the river.

Ferry to Newcastle, and First Look

We took the ferry from The Netherlands to Newcastle, and here we took a couple tours of the historical castle
Edinburgh...

Edinburgh, Edinburgh Castle, and the Holyrood Palace. Unfortunately, cameras are not allowed inside the castle and palace, so I don't have any photos of the crown jewels, and famous roooms.

Weekend in Paris

Took a weekend trip up to Paris to take the SSATs... Got to see a little bit of the city as well.
Liége, Belgium

On the first stop of our Christmas journey, we went to Liége. Only there for a day... But the Christmas market was incredible! We walked up the 347 steps to the WWI memorial, as well as the Citadel.
Luxembourg

Took the train from Liege to Luxembourg. It is truely a unique city, built on top of a hill. We got here a bit late in the day, but we were able to see the Christmas market at its full potential, withЧитать далее

On the next stop we went to Switzerland. We spent two days in Basel, got to see some of the city and a really cool landmark (the last picture), where three country's borders meet
Barcelona, Spain

For our next stop we headed to Barcelona, where we spent three days. Beautiful city, very spacious.

Today we got to visit the Colosseum. A dream come true, the building is trurly amazing.
The Vatican

Today we took a tour of The Vatican. Got to see some perfectly preserved Greek and Roman statues which was awesome. We also got to go inside the Sistine Chapel and see the amazing MichelangeloЧитать далее
Venice

For the last stop on our Christmas vacation trip, we went to Venice. One of the most unique and beautiful cities I have ever been to.
Acropolis!

Our first stop in Athens was the Acropolis! We were lucky too, it was the perfect weather and there was practically nobody there!
Athens and Delphi

On my school break we took a trip down to Athens. In addition, on one of the days here we went to Delphi to visit the ruins there as well.
Sounion sunset and Temple of Posidon

Tonight we took a bus to Cape Sounion to watch the beautiful sunset next to the most amazing temple, the Temple to Posidon.
