• Chillaxing in the hammock

    That's my oldest son's favourite term for relaxing. The weather has calmed down and I'm inside my bug net because the mosquitos are swarming. Reminds me of summers in Manitoba. There is a nice cool breeze blowing and it's gently rocking my hammock to and fro. I really had a hard time picking a place to camp. Not because I couldn't find one, rather there's a plethora of beautiful camp sites along the river. I wish everyone could experience the tranquility here. Tomorrow is going to be rough but I'm looking forward to the day's paddle. I'm getting further from cell service so I don't know if there will be any updates tomorrow. As I said earlier, I plan on getting an early start, so everything but my hammock and tarp is already packed up and ready to hit the water.Read more
