Storms have arrived

Well, the storms have arrived. I took a shower via a hard downburst of rain. Feel much better now. Just relaxing and reading a good book while listening to the rain on the tarp. And yes, that is leftover pizza you see on the kayak. Can you say yummy breakfast.... I have the kayak tied off to two trees in case the water rises further than expected. It has room to float up several feet by which time it will push up into my butt and let me know the water is rising. I hope that's not the case though. It depends on how much rain they get upstream. They have reduced the forecasted amounts by 2 inches so I should be ok. Earlier I saw a flat bill pink bird that looks like a Roseate spoonbill, but they are not supposed to be this far north.
